Things We Love: Mix it Up in the Kitchen in 2009

The staff at Get Cooking loves to test the latest kitchen tools and we want to share our favorite cooking gear and edibles with you. Below is the second in a series of our favorite culinary goodies.

Kitchen Aide MixerBy Missy, Buyer for Chopontheblock.com

My favorite kitchen electric would have to be the timeless Classic KitchenAid Stand Mixer (approx. $199.99). As the season of baking approaches, the KitchenAid mixer will help transform my kitchen into an efficently run bakery. The time I shave off my prepping time allows me time to tend to the thousand other tasks that await. Cookies and breads have never mixed as effortlessly. This is hands down my favorite kitchen tool!

The one item I use daily is the Bambu Soy Kitchen Candle (cost $14.25). Odors disappear with this ultra-clean scented candle. It burns clean, leaving no soot marks on the walls. Lingering odors from strong smelling foods, including onions and garlic, disappear. This item is my new favorite find.
